Some Small (But Impactful?) Changes to Structure - Devlog #7

Quick update for you all since I just uploaded a (slightly) updated version of JWAW. This new edition may look like a lot has changed, but it's really a few minor tweaks. Inspired by some very helpful feedback from a reviewer, I decided to overhaul the outline of the guidebook, changing the order of the content pretty drastically in some instances to help enhance the reading experience. Generally, the book has been divided into two parts instead of three, with all the content around "how to play" grouped together before all the content about "the world." I was also not happy with how the dungeon rules were playing in actual gameplay, so I've removed the D20 Dungeon Room table for now, keeping the exploration rules (with a little extra incentive added) and D12 Dungeon Hazard table. I know there's a lot to follow in getting comfortable navigating the world of Vaream, so hopefully the more intuitive structure, deeper page references and some more streamlined rules will help smooth that process over.

And, if not, let me know! This change came about because someone reached out with their feedback on the work and I couldn't appreciate that more. I'm pretty new to this, and really want to get a good experience out to y'all, so I'm always open to ideas and help.

Ok, as I said this is a quick update. I'm not planning on updating the guidebook itself for some time now, but am hoping to use this devlog to begin sharing more about Vaream and pieces of extra content for y'all to enjoy. Maybe this will move to Substack at some point? Who knows.

As always, thank you for reading.
