Improvements and a Rules Reference! - Devlog #2

New things this week! Well, one new-ish thing and another improved thing. The new thing is that I put together an Online Rules Reference! Inspired by the great rules reference for DURF, the site includes a brief run-through of the important rules for the party to have on hand. Hopefully, it'll be a helpful resource for anyone running the game to have a smoother experience getting familiar with the system. If you use it during a session and wish there was something in there that isn't, please let me know and I'll be happy to look at fixing it!

The improved thing is that I made some minor edits and rule fixes to the main book! The copy fixes include some changes to the tables and pieces of text that either were out of alignment or just needed to be fixed. The rules fixes are pretty light but a brief run-down:

  • Adjusted Incantation and Potion difficulties so y'all can do more cool stuff.
  • Added the ability for Players to study an Incantation during downtime in order to bring down its difficulty.
  • Adjusted Combat rules. Added rules for deciding Order of Action when combatants are spread out around multiple zones. Added rules for attempting melee attacks against opponents in an adjacent zone.
  • Made some adjustments to the Loot tables.
  • Clarified visibility during conditions of Night.

You can download the adjusted document from this post and from the main page. I'll continue collecting feedback and making adjustments like this as the game progresses and y'all keep playing. Thanks for reading all this and hope you're having a good week!
